Cancer Survivor Children receive gifts from TAPCT.
The Arun Public Charitable Trusts (TAPCT) is involved in extending its contribution to Society in order to not only assist but empower the needy. TAPCT had generously contributed lunch basket kits to the Cancer survivor Children on the occasion of Rose Day celebrated by Ray of Light Foundation.
Rose Day was observed by The Ray of Light Foundation at the Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital, Chennai on Sep 22, 2016. The programme was jointly organised by Ray of Light & Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital
Dr. A. C. Muthiah, Chairman of Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital spoke of the hospital's constant efforts to improve facilities and its vision to treat children from lesser privileged backgrounds. A number of facilities including a bone marrow transplantation unit, four isolation rooms, four newly renovated operation theatres, a new laboratory and a 40-bed neonatal intensive care unit were inaugurated on the occasion. Mr. Deepak Parekh, Chairman - HDFC Bank was the Chief Guest for the evening and the Trustees of the Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital were also present during the function
Dr. J. Radhakrishnan, IAS - Principal Secretary- Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Tamil Nadu gave away the gifts to the children who have already undergone or are currently undergoing treatment for cancer, supported by the Ray of Light Foundation. The evening ended with a video of the national anthem performed by carnatic musician T. M. Krishna along with the cancer survivor children.
